About the PTO

This website is funded and maintained by the Chestnutwold Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) for use by the families of children who are currently attending Chestnutwold Elementary. The mission of the PTO, as stated in its Bylaws, is as follows:
 

"The PTO shall help promote the academic and physical development of the children of Chestnutwold Elementary School through close cooperation and relationships between parents and guardians in the home and teachers and staff at school.The PTO shall act as liaison among Chestnutwold parents; the School District of Haverford Township, its administration, teachers and staff; and the Intra-District Council of Parent-Teacher Organizations.The PTO shall foster understanding among children, parents or guardians and teachers and staff using the growth, development, and welfare of our children as the focal point of this understanding."

2013 Chestnutwold Chase

Chestnutwold Chase: ~Get ready for the 7th Annual Chestnutwold Chase~ 
(ONLINE REGISTRATION here at Run The Day)  

What: One-mile run or 5-K run   
When:  Sunday, May 19, 2013  
Time:   8:00 AM 1-mile run/walk  8:20 AM 5-k run
 
Pre-registration price ends on May 12, 2013 

Pre-registered runners:  Packet pick-up is 3:00 to 6:00 May 17, 2013 at Chestnutwold Elementary School
Day-of registration (t-shirts are not guaranteed) begins at 6:45 AM on May 19, 2013

Pre-Registration Cost:  
$15.00 - ages 11 and under  
$20.00 - ages 12 and up  
Family of 4 or more- $60.00

Race Day Registration Cost:  
$20.00 - ages 11 and under  
$25.00 - ages 12 and up  
Family of 4 or more- $65.00
 
The first 200 registrants will receive t-shirts **
Awards will be given to top finishers  

Chances for runners to win raffles from sponsors including Cenzo's Pizzeria, Koffmeyer's Ice Cream and more

Opportunities to win big-ticket items from YMCA, Fit Tribe, Please Touch Museum and more by purchasing dollar raffle tickets either during packet pick-up or day of registration

Registration also includes a pancake breakfast* 
Non-runners can purchase breakfast for $2.00

** This year's color theme for the Chase t-shirt will be blue and gold.  These were the colors worn by the marathon runners last week in Boston.  While we typically shied away from those colors because of our spirit wear, we felt that in the spirit of Boston marathoners, we will wear these colors with pride.  Our hope is that everyone will come out to cross the finish line on the day of the Chase for those that could not on April 15, 2013
